the wonder of it all. . . . .

So a lot has happened since my last blog.

There has been a lot going on, struggles, challenges, turmoil and heartache.

I have a new job as a presenter at Worth Your Wait which is a company that is a part of the Pregnancy Centers of Central Virginia that teaches abstinence.

God has blessed me with a position as the music director at my church. It has been such a challenge and something I wasn't looking for but I have been blessed every part of the way.

My church has gone through some struggles and it has been hard but God has been taking awesome care of me. I shouldn't have expected any less. No matter what . . . He sees me through. He's awesome.

On a lighter note, one of the best shows ever made is finally back on.

The season opener was awesome. The countdown special was hilarious and the first two episodes of volume three were awesome. It looks like they are taking the show into some interesting places this season. I am extremely excited.

I have been really sick but I am getting better. It sucked because I was sick for Bree's birthday. (she is now 25, we're the same age again. Whoo Hoo!)

The GBC youth group has been doing awesome! It seems like they are really growing together as a group. They have been awesome at visitation and I am excited for the upcoming service projects and the mission trip we will be taking this summer! (God willing)

Please pray for our upcoming fundraisers, service projects and visitation.

I will write more later.

There's More to Living than Being Alive. . . .

So it has been an extremely busy month for me and it is going to get busier.

Our church just finished VBS, which Bree was in charge of and she did an amazing job. I led music and rec with my "special" helpers Mark and Courtney. It was awesome. Kids from our church and some of our adults learned life truths about the reality of God and His love for us given through Jesus Christ.

Four people made professions of faith and everybody loved it.

I just saw the "Dark Knight" last night and what can I say. . . . .

. . . . . it was freakin' awesome! ! !

Ledger should get the oscar for his performance. Don't argue, you would be wrong.

By the by, the goofy looking picture of me at the top was taken at a youth event shortly after I won a free game of bowling. I hit the prize pin and got a strike (one of the few times I hit pins all night, I suck, repeat, suck at bowling, ask my groomsmen and family.), thus winning the free game at the local Charlottesville bowling alley. That's right bask in my awesomeness. jk.

I have recently started listening to a new Christian rapper by the name of Flame. He is awesome!

His lyrics are packed with scripture and he totally lifts Christ up.
Some of the coolest Christian music I have heard. You should check him out.
Bree and I will probably be moving back up to Charlottesville in the next little bit. Bree has a new job as an assisstant manager at New York and Company. I have a few job opps up there as well and it will allow me to spend more time working with the youth group and serving at the church.
Well that is about all for now. Please pray for us and everybody(you know who you are. . . .), keep in touch!

New. . . . .

So it has been a while since my last post. A lot has changed. . . . .

I am now the youth leader for Grace Baptist Church and my wife is an assistant manager for New York and Company.
God has been very good to us and we are very grateful.
So one thing kind of sucks. Right now I am being torn between being a good assistant manager for the company that I work for and being committed to the ministry that God has called me to. My heart and my desire is to be pouring every last bit that I can into the youth ministry.
So I pray that God would just bless me with the time to get everything done and do the best job that I possibly can for Him and His youth.
Please pray for me and for my youth.

So much. . . .

This is going to be a quick post. So much is going on right now I just wanted to take a minute and ask my prayer warriors for help.

Please pray for my school financial situation. I don't know what is going on with the school but they keep saying that I owe them more money but I should be all settled up.

Please pray for my classes, work and ministries. There is so much work right now and I am having trouble keeping up with the work, my new position as assisstant manager at Gamestop and the ministries that I am working in.

Thank you for your time and your prayers.

Bacon good. . . . .bacon grease + skin bad.

So here are the pics I promised everyone. Sorry that there isn't more typing but I am down a thumb.

The crescent shaped, white liquidy part at the lower right corner of the blister is the hole I told some of you about.

When the grease hit my thumb it melted through a couple layers of skin and some of the skin peeled back and is right at the front of the giant blister. The doctors said that I had really serious second degree burns.
My thumb is doing well and my pointer will probably not need to be wrapped up by tomorrow.
Take care, more later when I can type better, this took me like twenty minutes hunting and pecking.

Uhhh. . . . . .

So it is 4:15 AM on a brisk Virginia morning as I begin to write this post. Last night I was leading a youth event for the Youth aged sunday school class that I teach. The problem was that the night before I had gone to bed really late because of a midterm paper then I worked all day. I was extremely dead, in the lack of sleep sense. . . . . so I drank the biggest Monster energy drink that I could find. . . . . and here I sit six hours after the event has ended, dead (again, in the lack of sleep sense) mentally but for some reason my freakin' body won't take a hint! I can't freakin' sleep!

I HATE MIDTERMS! ! ! ! !

Hhmmm . . . . .

So a lot has happened since my last blog.

I went to Utah for christmas and had an awesome time. To everyone we had the privelage of seeing, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to hang out with us. We love you and really miss you. To those of you we couldn't see, we are bummed out that we couldn't see you and we love you and really miss you as well.

I am now a 360 owner so I have been gaming an awful lot, (check out my gaming blog), and if you also rock the box let me know and we will chill online.

Please pray for my inlaws Michael and Cyndi Johansen as they are going to be spending around four months in India. Michael is going for work and Cyndi is going to bring India the time machine. . . . .

I have four classes right now. New Testament, Youth 301, Theology 201 and History of the Christian Chruch 301. Please pray for my school and scholarships. . . . .

Grandpa Johansen is healing well and my Grandma is is doing well. They have told her that the cancer is not agressive and that she will probably live around fifteen more years before if becomes a problem. Please pray for both.
I am currently planning a youth sunday school social activity and teaching the class each Sunday out of the book of Daniel.
Things are going pretty well for Bree and I. We are extremely blessed.
I will write more later.
Take care and God bless.
